Effective Date: August 11, 2026
At My Data Visibility, we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We limit data collection to only what is necessary to provide and improve the Service.
- Account Information: We collect your email address when you create an account.
- Payment Information: Payments are processed through a third-party provider, Paddle. We do not store your credit card details. We only collect and store your Paddle Customer ID and your email address associated with the payment.
- Usage & Metadata: We collect metadata about the files you analyze, including file paths, connection settings, and specifications. As noted in our Terms of Service, we do not store your remote files; we only store metadata (headers, datatypes and ranges) for analysis.
- Communication Data: We store chat messages, content you paste into the interface, and generated code to provide the core functionality of the Service.
- Analytics: We use a privacy-focused analytics service to measure aggregate site usage. It does not set cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not build a profile of you. It processes your IP address and browser details transiently to produce anonymous, aggregated counts. We do not retain this data in a form that identifies you.
- No Sensitive Data: We do not knowingly collect "sensitive data" (e.g., social security numbers, health information, or racial/ethnic origin).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the data we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Process transactions through our payment processor.
- Analyze usage patterns to optimize the user experience.
- Communicate with you regarding your account or Service updates.
3. Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data to third parties, nor do we use your data for advertising purposes.
We share data with third parties only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: We use Paddle for payment processing and may use Plausible for website analytics.
- Third-Party Providers: To provide specific features, the content you submit (conversations, specifications, and file metadata) may be processed by third-party providers.
- Note: Connection credentials are encrypted and are never shared with third-party providers.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).
4. Data Storage & Security
- Encryption: We use industry-standard encryption. Connection credentials are encrypted and stored securely.
- Location: Our Service is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States.
- Retention: We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your specifications through the Service interface.
5. Your Rights & Choices
- Access & Correction: You can update your account information by contacting us.
- Deletion: You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
- Opt-Out: Since we do not use your data for marketing or advertising, there are no advertising opt-outs necessary.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 13 (or the age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
